CSS Mixfolio question
-
Hello. The help on this forum has been tremendous. Thus, I thank you all in advance.
My query: is it possible to hide certain posts from the main “portfolio” layout? For example, I’d like to post something but not have it show up as an actual post but can still be accessed from another custom link.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

you can add the post as a page and not display it. Then use the page link. That might be the best option.

@joeybeats, the solution that @1travis suggests would be the easiest and cleanest. It can however also be done with CSS, but if you have a number of posts that you would wish to do this with, or if you will be doing this more in the future, it would require writing a CSS rule to hide each and every one of those posts.
Here is a sample for the “Live Performance” post. I have limited this rule to the main (home) page so that the single post itself will show up when someone goes to it.
.home #post-253 { display: none; }I found the post ID for the Live Performance post by doing a view source on the main page of the site, but you can also get the ID# by hovering your mouse over the post name in the post listing at Post > All Posts. In your browser status bar at the bottom, you will see http://joeybeats.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=253&action=edit. 253 is the post ID#. You can use the above code as an example and hide which ever posts you wish. You can also combine selectors, separated by commas so that there is only a single rule that would hide a number of posts such as the below.
.home #post-253, .home #post-268, .home #post-99 { display: none; } -
Loving it!
Thank you so much for that very detailed explanation.
I’m sure you’ll see me again lol…
