CSS – Need help to find which selector allows me to change a color behind text
-
I am working on CSS and have exhausted efforts to figure out how to change the color of the body of text background. NOT THE MAIN BACKGROUND. I know how to do that. It is the lighter blue background surrounding the most recent post of the Mo Limbo premium theme.
Thanks

Are you referring to the Mimbo Pro theme? To change that blue background you need to edit the #upper CSS ID.
Please review this guide to learn more about CSS.

Yes, it’s the Mimbo Pro theme.
I know about the basics of CSS, I just don’t know what aspect I deals with the light blue background. I’ve already changed the major background, and some colors of texts, etc. using CSS
I didn’t see “upper CSS ID” anywhere on there. Using FIND, the only “upper” that came about was as in “uppercase”.
Which selector deals with the light blue background? I read the Basics of CSS and it doesn’t go that specific.
thanks so

The recent posts section of the Mimbo Pro theme has several different color settings.
To change just the background color, you can use this:
#page #upper { background: red; }I picked red as an example color.
To change all of the other colors, start with this and adjust the color names as necessary:
#page #upper { background: red; border-bottom: 1px solid red; } #page #lead { background: darkred; } #page #lead img { border: 3px solid red; } #page #lead h2 a { color: red; } #page #lead .date, #page #lead a, #page #lead a:visited { color: pink; } #page #recent { background: none; } #page #recent h3 { color: darkred; } #page #recent a, #page #recent a:visited { color: pink; text-shadow: none; } #page #recent li { border-color: darkred; } -
Whoa! That did it! Thanks so much. I hope others will later benefit from this post in the future.
