CSS novice : removing search box from header of Sight Theme
-
Hi
I’m a complete novice at CSS and I’ve obviously done something wrong here. I’ve searched on the forums about how to add CSS to remove the search box from this site. I’ve gone to Dashboard / Appearance / Custom Design and got a box come up with text in it. I’ve removed the text and put in this instead:
.header-search {
display: none;
}Nothing has changed! I’m regretting getting rid of all the text now. Can anyone help me please. I’m a complete novice so excuse my stupidity here. How do I rectify this situation?
thanks

Well I guess you made it because I don’t see any search box ! If you don’t see any changes, you could try to reset your browser cache.
Just a little suggestion, you could center your website using this CSS :
.site-content{ width:100%; } .site{ max-width:640px; }Add that next to the code you’ve already put there, and you’ll be good !
Hope this helps,
