CSS to add borders to photos

    Hello, I am attempting to add borders to the photos on my blog using CSS. After many failed attempts I thought I would check to see if anyone on this forum has added photo borders to the benevolence theme successfully and if they wouldn’t mind sharing.     I see your photos have already a red border (and a dark gray one when hovered). Do you still need assistance?

    Great photos, by the way. I guess Argentina will be one of the places to consider going to for my next vacations.

    Thanks for the reply, Argentina is beautiful I definitely recommend it!

    I still don’t see borders around the photos, so yes I guess I do need help. I have yet to find where in CSS to make the change.

    I see the border in Firefox but not in Opera or Safari. Perhaps try explicitly setting a border size.

    I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW DELETE BORDERS ALONG PICTURES – SOME OF THEM APPEAR WITH BORDERS, SOME NOT – COULD YOU HELP ME? THANKS. VANVANETC.

    Ok, sorry by caps. I couldnt understand – what you mean by ‘do not hijack hreads’?

    this thread is in the CSS customization forum and you do not have the CSS editing upgrade. Although the issue seems the same to you it is not. devblog is telling you you ought to have posted your own thread and not posted into this one. I will answer your question.

    The colored border is there because you are linking to a larger version of the picture. The colored line appears when you rollover an image which is linked to a larger version, another site, or to an attachment page. You have two options for removal.

    (1) To remove the link-border and also to have your image not link to anything,
    as you insert new images:
    choose “None” on the “link URL” line.

    (2) If you want the image to link to something:
    Edit your post after you have inserted the image by clicking the image and choosing the mountain icon. Choose “Advanced Settings”
    Then on the line “image properties”
    on “border”
    type in “0″ (zero)
    Save.
    (You can do this in the HTML editor if you are comfortable with that as well)
