CSS to remove author info from Libre theme
-
Hi. Can you please help with the CSS tags needed to remove all author info from a post? (ie. posted on DATE by PERSON).
And while I’m here – I can’t figure out how to remove the comment option – ie. the “leave a reply” box.
Thanks!

Hi, I don’t see that you have the WordPress.com Premium Plan upgrade or Custom Design on your site, but here would be the CSS to remove the post metadata on Libre.
.entry-meta { display: none; } -
Thanks! That did the trick nicely. (Weird that it doesn’t show me having the upgrade, because I do. I’m managing a few different sites, so maybe that’s the issue…?)
And I’ve figured out the ‘reply’ issue too.
Cheers!

Actually, sorry – I haven’t figured out the ‘reply’ issue after all. I’m sure it’s simple but I just can’t see it – any tips?

You can turn off comments globally for any new posts or pages at Settings > Discussion in your dashboard. This will not turn off comments on posts or pages that have already been published. On existing pages and posts, you will have to do that manually, but you can use the Post and Page Bulk Edit feature to make that job much easier. I’ve only linked to the Page bulk edit, but the post bulk edit is identical in how it works.

Your CSS entry deletes all of the information under the blog title post, is there a way to remove just the ‘username’ while leaving the links to “Leave a comment” and the date of the post? I’m using the same theme.

@unprofessionalskepticism92, to remove just the author from the Libre post meta data, go to Appearance > Customize > CSS, delete all the informational text in that window, and paste in the following custom CSS.
.entry-meta span.byline { display: none; }
