CSS Update and sudden Changes to Bueno Theme

Hey guys! I’ve been browsing the forums for a bit but I can’t seem to find a solution to my problem. I’m using the Bueno theme and wanted to change the twitter feed and post body text color to black so I purchased the CSS upgrade. However, suddenly my bacground turned white (prior I had a textured image that repeated), and my header went awol. I’m not sure what to do to get the theme to go back to normal and still change the text colors to black instead of grey. Any advice?

Header image – Once you start custom CSS, you can no longer use the custom header uploader because it will always insert the image in the original size. You have to put the URL into the header section of the CSS instead after you upload it to the media library.

Hi there! I’m having a similar problem. I bought the upgrade, followed the directions here, and still the font color will not change…I am also wondering how to get amazon links (copied and pasted) into the code for this website. Is that even possible?

Background color change – Appearance > Background
I believe you can just delete the hex colour code for the background and then save it. The theme will return to the one specified on the other options tab and the dots will reappear. -

You’re problem with fonts and amazon links are nor related to this thread at all. They are off-topic. Please post your own threads and don’t post into existing threads unless your issues are identical to those expressed in the thread. Here’s some general and relevant information for those undertaking CSS editing on wordpress.COM blogs.We cannot add themes at wordpress.COM, we are limited to the themes found in the dashboard under appearance > themes. If you have CSS editing experience, you can get the paid custom CSS upgrade and renew it annually. It will allow you to stylize the appearance of themes you find here > Appearance > Themes, but it does not allow you to change the functionality, by editing the underlying template. Also note that CSS is theme specific, so you cannot use the CSS stylesheets from other themes with the themes here at wordpress.COM.
Since there is no official Staff support for the CSS upgrade, and precious little Volunteer support, I recommend that you don’t buy the upgrade unless you have at least moderate understanding of HTML and CSS because you must be prepared to do the work on your own. Note that you can go to Appearance > Edit CSS. There wordpress has provided a preview function.
