Cubic Caption Text
-
Hi Cubic team, we’ve just switched our blog to this theme and think it’s great apart from one bug we think we’ve found.
It appears that on inset images that are either aligned to the right or left the caption can flow up the side of the image as a series of single letter lines. There’s a couple of examples on our post https://bigadventure.blog/2018/07/21/florida-part-3-just-the-tip/ when viewed on a desktop or tablet (search the page for “heron” or “sea level”).
Just a guess but this appears to be due to figure tags having fixed sizes assigned to them which are 10 px wider than their images and the caption tags being allowed to flow freely rather than being restricted to the width of the images.
We’d really appreciate it if you could look into this apparent bug for us.
Thanks!

Hi there,
I’ve split your question off from the original post at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cubic-theme-bugs/ since the bug you are reporting is slightly different than that original post.
I was able to replicate the caption issue with the “heron” image but not the “sea level” one. I have gone ahead and reported this to the theme developers for review. You may view the bug report here:
https://github.com/Automattic/themes/issues/211In the meantime let us know if you have other questions.
