Cubic Issues after Migration
-
Hello Everybody!
I just installed my wordpress.com (https://rostrumplus.wordpress.com/) to bluehost (now rostrumplus.net). I’ve exported everything but I am encountering a series of problems:
1. Cannot put a logo in the static front page (unless jetpack is activated)
2. Color Palette disappeared
3. Related post settings disappeared (so I can easily hide it)Have someone expereinced the same issues?
Where am I wrong? Many thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also the widgets are very limited if jetpack is off…
I am sure there is something that I ignore :) -

1. Cannot put a logo in the static front page (unless jetpack is activated)
Correct. The logo feature is available through Jetpack.
2. Color Palette disappeared
Colour palettes are a feature specific to WordPress.com. On self-hosted sites, you would need to add your own custom CSS. You can use the Custom CSS module in Jetpack.
3. Related post settings disappeared (so I can easily hide it)
You can get related posts by activating that module in Jetpack.
Also the widgets are very limited if jetpack is off…
There are only a couple of dozen Core WordPress widgets.
Jetpack’s Extra Sidebars module makes some of WordPress.com’s widgets available to self-hosted sites.
can I delete the .com blog?
Sure, but I would suggest not doing that until your self-hosted site is set up exactly the way you want. You might also like to purchase a redirect upgrade so people visiting your old URL will reach your new site automatically.
If you need further help with the self-hosted version of Cubic, please post over in the Cubic forum at WordPress.org:

You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:

Be sure to provide a link to your site when you post so people can help you more easily.
