Cubic theme: choosing preview image

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,
I would like to choose myself which image is used as a prewiev in the main page of my blog. At the moment the system takes per default the first image in the post, but once the post is posted I can’t change it anymore.

For example, with the Shirley Temple image I wanted to change it, but even if I changed the first image in the post, the image you can see now would still stay in the preview.

Could you tell me how I could choosing myself which picture I want to appear in the preview?

    Thanks,
    Antonio

Upload a featured image using the featured image module. Another action you might wish to take is to remove from your media gallery any images you do not wish to have displayed.

  • As musicdoc1 mentions, the best way to control the images displayed on the blog page is by adding a featured image to each post.

Featured images in Cubic are also displayed at the top of each single post, and the recommended size is 2000px wide by 1500px high, as you can see in the showcase page.

If you have any other questions just let me know.

What if you don’t want a feature image because it takes up alot of space at the top/header of the new post page. I have am having the same issue

  • estherchan10 – if you’d like featured images on the homepage but not on single posts, you can hide them there with some custom CSS. You’ll also need to adjust the colour of the post titles with custom CSS so they don’t display as white on a white background. If your site has custom CSS active and you’d like help with the code, just let me know the URL.
