Cubic theme – content width, columns, menu

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi,

I would like to increase the content width of my posts and add 3 columns – my text runs in 3 languages. I also have problems finding the menu on the front page. How/where do I set it so it becomes visible?

    I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Andrea

Hi Andrea, widening the content area on posts and pages in Cubic is relatively painless, but trying to do three columns to display posts from three languages, each within their own column, isn’t something that we can do with CSS.

The best we could do would be to work out the HTML (that you would put into a single post or page) and the CSS that would allow you to write within that page or post in three columns. On responsive width themes such as Cubic, we have to consider the width of each of those columns and keep them wide enough so that they are readable, and at some breakpoint we would have to take those three columns back to a single column. With three columns, I would think the absolute narrowest we could do that would be 1200px, which, when including padding between the columns would make the columns only about 350px in width.
