Cubic theme feature image issue
-
I have re-sized a featured image for a blog post (currently in draft) to the recommended 2000 x 1500 (and other sizes to experiment) but each time the top and bottom of the photo are chopped off, like it’s zoomed in. Any advice greatly appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Rachel,
Can you point me to the specific post or page where your images zoomed in and cropped?
Cubic is designed to have large featured images which acts as background image on posts/pages. The theme is also optimised for devices of all sizes and, therefore, featured images will be cropped to account for a range of different screen sizes.
Featured images that work best with Cubic are more flexible, decorative or abstract, so they can handle some sort of cropping.
If you can point me to the specific post/page you’re having trouble with, then I’d be happy to see if some custom CSS can help (although a perfect solution that avoids cropping may not be possible).
Thanks!

Hi, this is the post but I changed the image as the other one was not working (as per issue described). But even the photo I’m using, in the blog front page grid, the photo is also cropped.

Hi @rahcelyoungyoga, to clarify, do you mean that the images are not cropped to a square here?
https://rachelyoungyoga.com/blog/Or are they not as tall as you’d like them to be on the individual posts?
As @siobhyb pointed out, these images will be cropped in various ways on the individual post page depending on the screen width of your device. The idea is for the image to cover that full area.
