CUBIC theme loads posts SO SLOW

  I have just switched to the “Cubic” theme and love it. My front page loads fine, but once I click on a post, it takes FOREVER to load, if it loads at all . PLEASE HELP…I’ve spent alot of time on this today. Thanks-

  I see what you mean. I suspect part of the problem is in addition to the large featured image, each of the posts I looked at had lots of other photos as well. This could be just a matter of creating posts that are too large to render in a reasonable amount of time.

  Could you create a post with a featured image and text, but no extra gallery images in the body of the post?

  I want to see if that loads in a more normal time.

  If so, we can work up from there to find out how many extra images each post can handle.

  Nevermind. I see you do have posts with just one image and text that are still loading slowly. Let me dig a little deeper.

  Thanks lizthefair…I’d appreciate any help at all. I really like this theme, but if it loads this slowly, I’ll unfortunately have to change it. Boooo

  It doesn’t seem to be the theme exactly. There seems to be something in your content that is conflicting with the theme. I just haven’t been able to figure out what yet.

  I see that you’ve already changed to a new theme. Do you like the new one?
