Curious about Freshly Pressed criteria
-
I have seen the old post that detailed the 5 ways of getting featured on Freshly Pressed. One such criteria was including images. However I have noticed a lot of blogs featured recently that do not have images and screenshots of the blog page are used instead. So I was curious if the editors are no longer really considering images as a criteria when they make their selections.
Not all of my humor posts meet that original criteria but many of them do and while I don’t write content specifically trying to get featured, I just would like to know that my posts are worthy of consideration.
Thanks,
Rob

Hello there,
Are you aware that Volunteers cannot deal with this issue and answer questions about it as Freshly Pressed selection is a Staff matter and Volunteers have no role to play in that process nor do we have any additional information. Please contact Staff with your questions. -

Staff reply to more urgent issue when flagged for their attention for example when bloggers can’t log in to their blogs and all troubleshooting suggestions have failed. :)

P.S. I forgot to add that the Editor re: Freshly Pressed does not appear to be a Happiness Engineer who provides support and so would not notice this thread here.

Hello there,
thescredpath gave you the correct answer. WordPress.com is completely separate from WordPress.org. WordPress.org blogs are stand alone installs, rather than being part of the free hosted WordPress.com community on this multiuser blogging platform.
Best wishes with your site. :) -
@timethief…
Wow. I have found your responses to robrubin to be both condescending and abrasive! His question was a valid one, and even if this is not the correct forum in which it can be answered, that can be conveyed with respect. -
