currency change from GBP to USD

  I want to change the currency on my account from GBP to USD since I no longer live in the UK. My account is *currently* a free plan so trying to get this done via staff has been impossible since I’m only given AI (yuck!) but I’m trying to change the currency to *start* a paid plan.

  Hey there!

  I might be completely wrong, as I haven’t done this in a while, but the workaround that usually works is: go to wordpress.com/me/purchases and update your payment country/region to your current US address. In many cases, WordPress.com will automatically adjust the billing currency based on your registered country and payment method. Also, if you add a US-based payment method (credit card issued by a US bank), the currency should switch to USD when you go to purchase a plan.
