Currency on wordpress

    Hi, I am trying to purchase a domain but the prices are in dollars even at checkout. I would like to pay in pounds as my account is in British pounds and I am afraid that if the price is in dollars I would have to pay big currency exchange price- how can I switch to British pounds?
    Also, if I want my postcode to be hidden I would have to pay extra but I see privacy more like a right than a privilege you have to pay for so is there any other way I could get privacy apart from paying for it? Thank you in advance!
