    I am about to renew my WordPress website, discipleofthecity.com, however, I must change my URL to con ore.com, how do I go about doing this

    Do you intend to keep using both discipleofthecity.com and con ore.com? Or are you going to cease using discipleofthecity.com and just use the new URL?

    I do not intend to cease using discipleofthecity.com from this point on…must change it to a new address,

    I can absolutely help you with that.

    So, my apologies for the redundant question, but when it comes to domains, I hate to see someone lose control of one due to a misunderstanding. So….

    Just to clarify, if you want to cancel your domain discipleofthecity.com it can take up to several weeks for our domain registrar to release the domain, and it may not choose to do so. We can’t guarantee that your domain will ever be available to you again once canceled. If you have any intention of using discipleofthecity.com again in the future, I suggest that you do not choose to cancel and instead renew and then use these instructions to point it to your new webhost:

    Change a Domain’s Name Servers

    Please confirm that you understand and want to cancel your domain. Once you have done so, I will cancel it and remove the upgrade from your account.

    To add a new domain, simply log into your WordPress.com site’s dashboard, click on Store–>Domains, enter the domain you want to register in the “add a domain” box and click the “add domain” button. Then follow the instructions that appear to register your domain.

    ok, I’ll keep the domain just in case and I’ll register a new domain, many thanks fro your help, can I tranfer the theme I bought for the new domain?

    You will not need to transfer the theme if you are just adding a new domain to your existing http://discipleofthecity.wordpress.com/ WordPress.com site. If you make a brand new WordPress.com site for your new domain, then yes, we would need to transfer your theme to it.
