Current Page is Showing No Views
-
My latest post–The Naked of Homeless– is several hours old, but although my total page view is increasing in a normal way, that post shows no views. I’ve checked its status and it shows as published.
Any ideas? -
If the entire post is on the front page, that would make sense. Everyone on your blog can read it without clicking on the title OR on the title in the sidebar, and search engines won’t have listed it yet. If you put another post up on top of it, I would expect at least some people to come to it via your sidebar “Recent Posts” but until it gets pushed down or until the URL itself gets passed around, the views should be essentially all the blog views. Every blog hit is also a hit on that post, just not individually. Post hits only count direct views, not views because they’re on the front page of the blog. Does that make sense?

Good morning, Raincoaster.
I must not have made myself clear, for it is not typical of my current post to show no views. It has never happened before that I can recall. Typically, almost as soon as I write a post, the number of its views will show and will begin increasing.
Also, although I cannot guarantee it of course, the nature of the post would cause me to strongly believe I would get at least a few comments, and I have not.
