Current Plan is with Godaddy and want to switch to WordPress

  We have organization that paid for two domain names and it was renewed in Oct 2019 for two years. The website is administered by a former member of our organization. We do not have the user name or password for the website generator. How can we move to WordPress, keep our domain names and take control of our organizations website.

  Hi there,

  What is the URL of the existing site? If it was built using GoDaddy’s GoCentral website builder, you can use our GoDaddy importer to move the content to a new site on WordPress.com:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/import-from-godaddy/

  That importer essentially just scrapes the site for content, so you don’t need to have access to the GoDaddy site to use it.

  To gain control over your domain names you’ll need to contact the registrar where you registered them directly for help.
