i don’t want my posts to run from one to the next, but want only the most current post showing and when a new post is published the previous moves to archive.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like you’ve already set this up by setting “Blog pages show at most” to “1” here:
https://louisakeys.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php
Can you let me know if you have achieved the look you were going for?

Thanks for clarifying! If you would like to only see the last post, please do the following:
1. Navigate to Settings -> Reading on both sites.
2. Under “Blog pages show at most”, set to “1” as shown here:
3. Scroll down the page and uncheck the option for Infinite Scroll as shown here:
Just a note, it looks like you’re also setting “Syndication feeds show the most recent” to “1” as well. You may want to keep this at the default of 10. For example, if I’m following your blog in the WordPress.com Reader and you have this set to 1, I will only see your latest post. Setting it to 10 allows readers to catch up on past posts if they’re following your site. This will have no effect on how blogs are displayed on your site. That setting is controlled by “Blog pages show at most”.
