  i want to use wordpress in my current website just so people can comment on my stuff. i dont want to use the domain cause i already have one. how do i integrate this into an existing html based website?

  You need to be at http://www.wordpress.org not .com. The big pink sticky at the top that says “read me first” will give you the explanation why.
