I checked around the Audubon site and it seems like the fix involves a Custom CSS code (which you do not have).
I will notify the Staff, as they should be the ones fixing this globally. In the meanwhile, please be patient waiting for them to respond to this thread.
Note to the Staffs:
The bug is this, basically: If a current page’s link is placed under a submenu, it will be “hidden”, because its color is set as black-ish while the submenu bg is also black-ish. Offending code:
.nav-menu .current_page_item > a, .nav-menu .current_page_ancestor > a, .nav-menu .current-menu-item > a, .nav-menu .current-menu-ancestor > a { color: #141414; }The fix: modify the CSS to dealw ith the case above. A sample fix is made at the Audubon site:
.sub-menu .current_page_item > a { color: #fff; } -

Hi there,
Thanks for reporting this! It looks like there’s an issue with the featured color palettes in Twenty Thirteen. The default colors work fine for submenu items, but I see the problem you mention when using those featured color palettes. I’ve reported this to our team so they can take a look.
Please let me know if I can provide any further help in the meantime. :)

Same.
I have the problem on several pages including this one http://chaihana.wordpress.com/maps/ancient-central-asia/
I would be overjoyed if this could be fixed.
