Current theme not the same as in customize
-
I chose the sketch theme (https://wordpress.com/theme/sketch) for my new site. In Appearance – Themes, it says that my current theme is Sketch. However, when I go to Appearance – Customize, in the customizing page I’m still seeing the old theme.
How can I customize the theme I chose to customize? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
I think it might be a browser caching issue on your end because I see the Sketch theme just fine in your site’s Customizer: screenshot https://d.pr/i/XSVMKS

Thank you for your reply!
Looking at your screenshot, that still looks nothing like the Sketch theme… In terms of organization, the sketch theme has a different layout than what I’m getting in customize. In your screenshot, that looks exactly like the Easley theme. It’s one of the themes you can select at the beginning of creating a site.
What I’d like is to begin with the basic layout of the Sketch theme, the disposition of the images, the text, the menus, etc, and then work from there. But what’s happening is that the disposition of each element is still the same as the Easley theme. -
Hi there,
Your homepage is made out of blocks whereas the Sketch theme you see on the demo is set up to display your portfolio projects.
Please note that that theme was released before the block editor and that’s why you’re getting confused on how to configure it.
If you want to duplicate the layout of that theme exactly as it’s shown in the demo, you need to use the Portfolio feature and follow these instructions:
