Current third party hosted site

So, I am thinking of making the switch from Adobe Muse to wordpress.com

I have a couple of questions related to the domain/hosting side of it…
    1. I understand that since I am third party hosted, I have to point my domain to wordpress.com. Once I purchase a plan with WordPress, will it take over the hosting and will I be able to cancel my third party hosting (since hosting is included in my plan)?
    2. Does anyone have any experience transferring to from Muse to WordPress.com?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hello!

That’s correct. WordPress.com will take over the hosting, and you can cancel your third-party hosting, but I would suggest you do that after moving your site to WordPress.com to avoid any interruption.

Here’s a guide describing the steps involved: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

Regarding Muse, I’m not aware of any official way of importing your site, however I have seen some third-party ‘Muse to WordPress’ converters online. They seem rather complicated, and the best bet may be to use your Muse site as a template for your shiny new WordPress site!

I hope that helps, and let me know if you have any other questions!
