Current Website Domain

  I have several domain names, but only 3 that are connected to my current site. I am exploring WordPress as a new platform. If I use my current domain, what effect will it have on my current Live site? I would assume that until I publish and go LIVE, that it wouldn’t have any effect exploring WordPress, but need to know first before proceeding.

  Hi howardscreek,

  I would explore WordPress and just use the free URL while you are building and deciding. After that, if you like the platform, you can use any domain you’d like. In short, leave your domain alone for now, build a site with the free WordPress url provided, and after that, go live by pointing your domain to the new site!

  Thanks…that was my thought exactly!

  I think I will hire it out! I have built website for 13 years and learning a new platform at this time may not be worth my time. But I will see, have a conference call with her today.
