Current website/ domain hosted elsewhere, but want to create more pages & blog

  Hi
  I have a website hosted elsewhere, and want to keep it hosted elsewhere (domain is already registered). But I would like to improve my website and add to it with a blog. How do I do that with WordPress? Thank you Jen

  There’s two ways you can use WordPress.

  First, set up a site at WordPress.com. This is free but comes with a few restrictions (for example, you can’t freely edit the theme you’re using), and you can purchase add-ons to that. The domain you already have can point to this blog, or you can just link to it from your existing website.

  Second, you can set up your own WordPress site, using the WordPress software that you download from http://www.wordpress.org. You can place it on your existing domain, as an extension to your current site — for example, at http://www.yoursite.com/blog.
