Current Widget Ready Theme

What current two column themes are available on WordPress.com that I wouldn’t have to modify to add widgets?
I am a newbie here so please help me out. I just stated to blog and chose the Green Marinée theme. I like the theme but when I tried to add a widget for recent posts my dashboard read “no sidebars defined” and gave me a link that told me how to fix it – but it all looked like Greek to me…

That’s weird. I thought all the WP themes allowed widgets but you’re right that Green Marinee doesn’t seem to. I think if you pick almost any other theme, you’ll be fine!

Hemingway also has no widget support, and as far as I know if it does not have widget support, it cannot be added since that would require editing of the underlying theme, which we cannot do here at wordpress.com.
The changes they are talking about are for theme designers and such and not applicable here on wordpress.com
If you want widgets, then you will have to select another theme from presentation > themes.
