Cursor frequently freezes while writing blog posts

  Hi, I didn’t know how to better word my problem, but that’s basically it. Has anyone else had this problem?

  When I’m writing or editing a post– any time I’m using the WordPress editor– I’m frequently faced with the page “freezing” for a second or two. That is to say, the cursor stops blinking and my input is delayed for a second or two, when it starts again and anything I have typed is finally displayed.

  This is very distracting because it throws me out of my rhythm while I write; I cannot see if I’ve made mistakes or not, so I have to wait again to check them. I find this makes it extremely difficult to write at any length, as I find it so distracting that I lose my train of thought frequently.

  Has anyone else experienced this? How did you fix it? It doesn’t happen to me on any other websites. It happens whether or not I’ve had the browser open for a long time and it’s taking up a lot of memory, or if it’s the only tab I have open after a fresh reboot.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
