Custom audio player in Promenade theme

  Hi.
  Can the custom audio player in the Promenade theme link to mp3 files hosted on a non-wordpress server. In other words do the mp3 files Promenade use in its custom audio player with its own playlist, have to be in your own wordpress.com media library or not?
  If url links cannot be used for the player, can you recommend a theme that does have this capability?

  The audio player on the front page in Promenade requires the files to be in your site’s media library. You specify which songs will be included there via the Customizer, by listing the media library ID numbers:

  

  Using the audio shortcode, you can add a player for any song, no matter where on the web it’s located. This will work in any theme. You can read more about how to use the audio shortcode here:
