Custom Background colors not loading on site preview

  Earlier I was able to set the background of each block to be a custom color, before it suddenly stopped. I can choose the preset ones and they work. I am currently using the zoologist theme. If it a free vs. paid account issue, which level of account subscription would I need to be able to set this?
