Custom Banner using GIMP
-
I’m trying to create a custom banner on PRESS ROW template. I am using GIMP software which is a freeware photoshop software and I have created a new image that is 770 by 200 but when I upload the created banner into Word Press, the quality is terrible and half of my banner is cut off. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Now, I have the whole banner on it but the quality is still really bad. Any suggestions on making quality better?

First off, for that image, I would save it as a png rather than as a jpg. jpg’s will anti-alias which will make text and graphic elements look fuzzy. With png’s, that will not happen and text and graphic elements will be (should be) clean and crisp.
When making your image, are you cropping it to the exact size, or are you adjusting the height and width? If you adjust the height and width, they have to be done proportionally or the image will be stretched or compressed in one direction or the other.
