'Custom Characters' – any way to expand its range?
-
I work in English (using the Enterprise theme), but with frequent insertion of Polish words. The ‘Custom Characters’ drop-down doesn’t cater for Polish diacritics etc.. Is there any way round this? I’ve tried changing the language setting, but this does not seem to work (or at least the keyboard doesn’t respond in ways in which I’m familiar from other Eastern European language software).
Can anyone help? Thanks!

You need to use HTML entities. Bookmark this page and use the Decimal codes (in the HTML editor, of course):

Thank you very much. I’ve never used HTML before, but I eventually found the HTML tab, found a Basic HTML site online, and hey presto – my first attempt at creating Polish words with diacritics was successful. The url you sent me does have the Polish letters, though curiously not those that can be done with a standard keyboard, like ó.
I will test it out further, but I feel enabled now, so many thanks!

You’re welcome. You’ll probably find the rest here:
