Custom Color

    My knowledge of CSS is VERY limited. Just enough so that I was able to go through the original Nishita style sheets and customize the color theme of my blog… that is, until you click on any of the other pages on my site besides my main. Once you leave the main page, the form backgrounds are all white. HELP!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    It looks great! Mind if I ask what fonts you used in the header image? I really like them.

    I see that there are a few elements that still have a white background. Try this to adjust the main comment area background color:

    #respond div.comment-form-field {
        background: #990;
    }

    This is for the older post links:

    .navigate a span, .navigate-single a {
        background: none;
        border: none;
    }

    This removes the white from the widget subscriptions background:

    .widget_blog_subscription form {
        background: none;
    }

    This is to remove the light colored border from below widget titles:

    .widget-title {
        border-bottom: none;
        margin-bottom: 10px;
    }

    There might be a few other elements you want to change too. What about the Facebook widget and the search input form element in the footer? They kind of stand out in white but it might be okay for a few elements? Look around to see if you can find any others too.

    Thanks for the links! :)

    Actually, I do not like the white background in the facebook widget, nor do I like it in the search field or the subscribe widget. ew! If you are able to help me with that I would sincerely appreciate it! Thanks a million!

    If you or anyone else could help me to change the background on the menu pages (ex. Portrait Packages) where I still show white, I will be grateful.

    Ouch! So actually, this didn’t work. I had to go and remove the additions, as the comment field was blank when viewed by a subscriber, and the emailed update of my most recent blog post was completely blank.

    Back to square one. Any suggestions?

    The emailed update being blank was a bug, totally separate from CSS. Do you know what browser the person who saw the blank comment field was using? I tested the code above in Chrome and Firefox, so it’s possible the Internet Explorer browser needs something a little different.

    Actually, I’d like to test the comment field being blank thing. Maybe that wasn’t related to CSS at all either?
