Custom Color For Mouse-Over [:Hover Selector] Not Working On A Text-Link

  • Unknown's avatar

    Recently, I’ve added a:hover rule [color as #dcdcdc] on my theme and it’s working well all over my website; only except my text-link “[ENTER]” at the bottom of my static/front page…
    Color of the link is not reacting at all when I mouse-over it…
    Could you help me with that issue, please?

    It looks like you’ve set the colours with inline CSS (using style=”color:#cdcdcd;”). If you try removing those parts leaving just the normal HTML tags (both the span and strong element) you should be able to use your CSS upgrade to override the normal theme colours.

    Well, I’ve just applied the instruction you gave me and now that link is working well, too…
    All clear about mouseovers!
    Thank you very much for your help!

    But this time, it has switched back to the default color of my theme…
    And now I have to ask you how I can reverse the primary color of the link to my old custom color [to #ffffff] without changing the default color scheme of whole theme?
    Thank you for your patience…

    Ah, OK! How did I miss that?!

    #my post ID a {
    color: #ffffff !important;
    }

    And it works!
    Thank you very much anyway, hallluke!
