  custom colors good for many themes or just one theme at a time?

  Are you asking about the CSS Upgrade?

  If so – the upgrade is good for one year, on one blog, you can change themes if you want, (note: CSS coding is very theme specific so if you change to another theme the custom CSS changes will need to be redone )
