Custom CSS and @font-face declaration
-
I am deciding whether or not to buy the custom css upgrade, so I’ve been using a lot the preview tool saving the .CSS file to my computer.
I’m a front end developer, so I don’t have any difficulties with the code. However, i noticed that some CSS3 properties such as @font-face are solemnly ignored by wordpress.com. Is that correct or am I missing out on something?
I am using the bulletproof @font-face syntax from Paul Irish, and the TTF, EOT, SVG and WOFF files are based on my web server. I searched the forums up and down, and also the Custom CSS about pages and found nothing on this.
Can anybody just confirm if the @font-face declaration is supported or not? Thanks :)

–‘t informed my wp.com URL since the blog is on private mode and does not have the custom CSS upgrade yet.
I am using the Sandbox 1.6.1 theme and starting my CSS from scratch.

WordPress doesn’t support everything you can do with CSS, some of it ends up getting stripped out and it appears that font-face is one of these. However you might want to look in to using Typekit as a potential work around, you can find the options in your dashboard under Appearance > Typekit Fonts.
