Custom CSS Code not changing all page elements

I just switched over to my own css file, but there are fields on the blog page that are not using my css, and I have no idea what those elements are called for the css code. Specifically, I am referring to the tags, title, categories header and hyperlinks. i.e., my hyperlink text color on the page is turquoise, yet my ccs code is red text:
