Custom CSS won’t display background images
-
My WordPress.com site is: http://ukti.wordpress.com
I’m building a custom CSS presentation, starting originally with the Sandbox-10 theme, but rewriting the CSS from scratch. I want to call in a number of images using CSS backgrounds. I’ve uploaded them all to WordPress.com successfully, for example:
http://ukti.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/skyline.gifBut when I try to call this into the page via CSS, the image doesn’t come up. You can see the CSS at:
http://ukti.wordpress.com/?css=css&rev=0(I note it’s done some odd things when I’ve uploaded the CSS I built locally… can that have anything to do with it?)
I’ve tried calling the images in from other servers, and it works fine. I’ve also used the same technique on a local WordPress installation, using the Sandbox theme from SVN, and it works fine. What’s going on here?

Dammit. Looks like it’s a security thing. I’ve just switched my Privacy option from ‘I would like my blog to be visible only to users I choose’ to ‘I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors’… and I can see the imagery now.
This doesn’t help CSS developers, guys. Clients typically want projects kept under wraps until they’re absolutely ready.
