Custom CSS works on some computers, not on others

At least, I think thats what is happening. We purchased the custom CSS upgrade and applied it in order to use custom CSS to remove most of the extra formatting on our blog that we use for our news feed. So it would just display the actual articles, and nothing else. For example, when it is working it should not say “Centaurusmarketing’s Blog” at the top.

When I access the page: http://centaurusmarketing.wordpress.com from my own laptop, one of our servers at a remote site, or from another computer at my house, it works fine. When I access it from any of the computers at our office, one of our branch offices, or one of our servers, it seems the custom CSS is having no effect. I see the title at the top, and the formatting is all screwed up. I have verified I am using the same version of the browser on both computers (firefox 3.5.6)

Does anyone have any ideas why it would work on some computers and not on others?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I’m not able to help you. Only two members choose to expend their valuable time on helping wordpress.COM users with CSS problems, and neither one appears to be online at this time. Please be patient while waiting for one or both to respond to you. :)

Bumping to make sure this didn’t get lost in the shuffle. So far I only see it happening on the computers at our office. I know we have our own DNS server, and a content filter. Dunno if that has anything to do with it.

I’ll check this between tomorrow and the weekend

Thanks! Just as an update, it turns out that this is also happening at at least one persons house. Also I tried using a different DNS server and removing the content filter, no go. Really wierd. Its like it just randomly sometimes doesn’t format the site correctly.

Your CSS seems to be fine. I tested this in different browsers and they displayed fine:

    Windows:
    IE6 and IE7

    Mac:
    Fx 3, Camino 2, Chrome 4 (beta)

Perhaps is a caching issue? What browsers are you having this issue with?

Check the source of your blog and see if this appears in the markup:

    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://s3.wordpress.com/custom-css.php?blog=K9Y5&cache=4&rev=2" />

If it’s there then, if you can, use Firefox (IE would complain) and enter this in the address bar:

    http://s3.wordpress.com/custom-css.php?blog=K9Y5&cache=4&rev=2

If you can’t see the CSS, perhaps the computers you’re accessing your blog from are doing it through a proxy server that might be blocking the content?

Since I cannot replicate the problem, I feel am shooting in the dark here…

Sorry I can’t be of better help.
