Custom Design Refund please!

I am trying to get a refund on the custom design I purchased a few days ago. I’ve spent the last half hour trying to find out how to do that. Uncle. I give up. Please tell me.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Provided you are logged in under the exact same username account that purchased the upgrades, you ought to be able to request a refund from your dashboard > Store > My Upgrades

WordPress.com provides a 30-day refund on all upgrades except Domain Registrations, Domain Renewals, and Guided Transfers.

Note: It takes from 1 – 2 weeks for the refund to be received.

@lorinash, I can help you with the refund. May I please ask if there’s anything I can do to help you with the upgrade first? Did it just not work out? Was it frustrating to use?

Thanks. In all honesty, I just didn’t really find a free theme that I liked on WP so it seems pointless to pay for this upgrade when I’m going to use an external theme and Bluehost. However, I will keep the custom upgrade if it also gives me no ads on my site – but I doubt that’s the case since I’m hosting on BH, not WP.

    Hello
I just purchased the forefront theme on wordpress.com but it has mapped to the wrong domain. It should not be redirecting to the current .wordpress.com domain. I am requesting a refund in order to re-purchase it for the correct domain.

    Thank you

Bummer about not finding a theme you liked! We have tons of good ones and are always adding more. :)

If you’re switching to Bluehost, then you certainly won’t need the Custom Design upgrade—that’s an optional upgrade for WordPress.com users only. Here at WordPress.com, we don’t charge any monthly hosting fees and you can always setup a basic blog for free here, but then to make money we offer optional paid upgrades. With a setup through another company like Bluehost, you pay a monthly hosting fee instead and then you install the WordPress software and you can make modifications to the code without paying for any extra upgrades. The same goes for the “No Ads” upgrade. It’s not needed for a Bluehost setup and they won’t place any ads on your site because you’ll be maintaining and managing all of those types of things on your own.

To get a refund for Custom Design, go to Store > My Upgrades and click the “Cancel and Refund” button below the Custom Design upgrade. Do not cancel the domain—you should either transfer it or update the name servers to point to your new web hosting provider (Bluehost) servers instead.
