Custom Design Upgrade only applies to entire theme?

    I want to stylize blog posts of the same subject with a different font size and ideally font family than my other posts. Can this all be done under the text tab when writing a post?

    I upgraded to Custom Design and realized I might not need it. I’m happy with my theme at the moment.
    Thanks,
    Emily

  • Emily,
    With the custom css upgrade, what you can do is create specific styles that you want to re-use for your various posts, like #events or #liveshow and then target the posts you want by using the HTML (text) tab and wrapping the text in that class.
    Using in-line CSS will be much more time consuming, so in my opinion (I don’t work for WordPress), you’ll fair much better with the upgrade option.

    But yes, it can also be done without the upgrade. All you need is this at the very beginning of the post:
    <div style="font-size:100%;font-family:SPECIFY;">
    and this at the very end:
    </div>

    Change the percentage to adjust the size.
    Replace SPECIFY with a font name; but keep in mind that without the upgrade you are confined to the few “browser safe” fonts – see here:
