How can I set up Google Apps and access my domains page?
-
I have 2 blogs on WP, each of which I’ve mapped to domain names I bought from Godaddy.com, and that part works fine– when I type in the URL, each of my blog shows up just fine. However, I’m also using one of the domain names as my Google Apps email domain name (Google Apps allows you to create a custom domain for your email address, so instead of (email visible only to moderators and staff), it’s (email visible only to moderators and staff)). But now my Google Apps email account has stopped receiving emails, now that I’ve mapped my WP blog to that domain name. According to WP’s instructions, that’s normal. To fix this, apparently, I’m now supposed to go to Dashboard -> Upgrades -> Domains -> Custom DNS Mapping (or something like that). PROBLEM: One of my domains (the one I’m using for Google Apps email), doesn’t show up in my Dashboard at all, so I can’t go to Dashboard -> Upgrades -> Domains -> Custom DNS Mapping, and do whatever it is I’m supposed to do. It just shows up as the wordpress.[myblog].com address, and there’s no “Upgrade” in the menu, like there is for my other blog.
Does anyone know why my blog isn’t showing up in Dashboard with its proper domain name? I desperately need to fix this Google Apps email thing, and apparently I can’t unless I’m able to access the “Upgrade” feature in my Dashboard.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi Greg,
When you try to access the DNS records for the domain with which you’re using Google Apps, are you going to the Upgrades page for that blog’s Dashboard?
For example, since you have two blogs on one account, are you going to the Admin Bar > My Blogs > “Your Blog Name” > Dashboard for your second blog and then to your Dashboard > Store > Domains?
Once you’re able to access your Domains page, you can follow these directions to set up Google Apps:

Thanks, Evarlese. I was indeed able to do that (although for some reason that “Upgrade” and “Domain” part of the menu didn’t always appear– very confusing)– and then I manually entered the MX records that Google Apps provides (in the format “MX [priority ##] [Google’s MX record]”) into the Custom DNS Records, and everything’s working fine now. It took me a while to figure out that, since I’d assigned the Nameservers from GoDaddy to WordPress, WordPress now has control over the MX records as well. It might be worth explaining that on the WordPress instructions, since I’m guessing a lot of people will be wanting to host their email somewhere else, after they’ve assigned the Nameservers to WordPress.
But sincere thanks for your response.
