Custom DNS Record for migration from blogger to wordpress
-
Hi. I recently migrated http://www.rezaalireactivated.com from blogger to wordpress. The migration was successful and the site is working perfectly on wordpress. However when I try to access mail.rezaalireactivated.com it goes straight to rezaalireactivated.com. The only way I can access my email is now through gmail.
I have gone through all the support pages which talks about mapping custom DNS and I get how to do it. I tried to apply the instructions on http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/custom-dns/ but what I don’t get is what do I actually key into the box on the Custom DNS record.
Appreciate any help on this one…

Hi. My best guess is that you entered your Custom DNS record incorrectly. Make sure it follows the correct format. Example:
CNAME mail ghs.google.com.
(The correct way is simply “mail”, not “mail.rezaalireactivated.com”) -
Hi Airodyssey. I didn’t enter any custom record. I don’t know what to enter in the custom record.

If you are using Gmail / Google Apps, try adding the code I entered above.

Hi,
I managed to get it working. I went to Google app and entered google site verification TXT and then entered the following into the domain setting box in wordpress:
MX 5 ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
MX 5 ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
MX 1 ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM.
MX 10 ASPMX2.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.
MX 10 ASPMX3.GOOGLEMAIL.COM.Everything working ok.
Thanks for the help airodyssey
