Custom Domain

  I’ve been told that if I change my domain from the wordpress domain (cat9984.wordpress.com0 to a unique domain (e.g., cat9984.com), I will lose all of my current followers. Is that true?

  No – not at all

  all that changes is the address visitors see when they visit your site.
