Custom Domain and Hosting Plan

  Hello sir I have questions related to the custom domain and hosting plan of the wordpress.com I want to ask if I add my custom domain on the wordpress site can I do that without buying the hosting plan for my website.

  Hi there,

  That is not an issue – what you could do is create a site with a free WordPress.com blog address. You are assigned a .wordpress.com or a .home.blog subdomain whenever you create a site with WordPress.com, so you can just use that as the domain as you build the site and determine whether or not this is the platform you want to use. Once you are done developing the site, you can make the decision to transfer or map the domain over. Both of these steps require a paid plan:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  map an existing domain:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  Or even creating a new one:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/
