Custom domain expired, but hasn't reverted to WordPress name
-
When I set up my WordPress.com blog several years ago I purchased a domain name inquiringparent from WordPress. Because this blog doesn’t get much traffic and I only post occasionally I decided not to renew the domain name, thinking that it would revert to inquiringparent.wordpress.com.
Now every time I try to access the blog, I get this message:
“Please contact the owner of this website and ask them to renew the domain. Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to view the site at this web address: inquiringparent.wordpress.com”
But I can’t view the blog! And if I try typing inquiringparent.wordpress.com into a search engine it redirects to inquiringparent.com but then says it is not available.
I don’t want to pay $80 dollars late fee to renew the domain name, I just want the blog to be viewable under its WordPress name. How do I fix this?
Ironically, this month this blog has had more traffic than it’s seen since it began, yet I don’t see how that’s possible since I can’t view it!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
