Custom Domain from Existing Site

  I just started as a marketing co-ordinator for an events management company. We need to update our website and think WordPress could be a great way to go. I understand that we can register a custom domain through WordPress, but it is still unclear to me if it’s possible to register our existing domain.

  Can anyone help? I would actually love to have a live chat with someone as we have many questions – if possible!

  While we register new domains here at WordPress.com, we’re not able to accept incoming transfers of existing domain names. Therefore, we recommend that you keep the name registered at your current registrar. You can use the domain for your site here at WordPress.com by mapping the domain, as explained here:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
