Custom domain name

  Subjetct: Custom Domain

  I am going have a custom domain name for example ( ronrealestate.com) instead of the ronrealestate.wordpress.com. Do I have to register my custom domain name with GoDaddy.com first which will cost me $12.00.and then register it with wordpress.com for another $17.00…Is that the process, please help me.

  Custom Domain name

  Do I need to register my custom domain name with GoDaddy or all I have to do is register it with wordpress.com and pay the $17.00?

  Yes, all you need to do is register it with us.

  Either way, you’d need to pay $12/year for the domain mapping.

  Registering the domain with us costs an additional $5 (hence $17 total).

  Of course, you’re welcome to register the domain with GoDaddy and just pay us the $12 to map it.

  Many places to register a Domain Name – WordPress.COM is on of the cheaper places. Any registrar has the ability to change the name-server settings (required for the Domain Mapping)
