Custom Domain Name

  Hi,

  I purchased a package with a custom domain name, but as I am creating my website, I noticed that wordpress is adding .wordpress.com after my domain and I can’t figure out how to change this. Could you please help?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hello –

  I’ll be happy to help. Each WordPress.com user account has a free .wordpress.com site address. Your plan upgrade gives you a domain credit, that you can use to register a custom domain. One that ends in .blog, or .com for example.

  It looks like you still need to register that custom domain.

  Go to My Sites > Domains > Add

  From there you can register the new domain.

  Let me know if you keep having trouble with this.

  I registered my website with godaddy. On my godaddy account, it shows that I have purchased the .com site. When I just tried to add it as a domain on wordpress, it says that the domain is already taken.

  Since you already own the domain you are going to look for the, “Already own a domain? Map it!” Link.
