Custom domain name purchased but not working

  I purchased the custom domain tonight, nicholasaphoto.com, to remove the .wordpress.com from the end of the my address, although when I type it into my browser I just get redirected to nicholasaphotography.wordpress.com. IS there something I am doing wrong? Something I am missing? I looked at my upgrades page and it says that it is active…
