Custom domain name with my wordpress site.

    I have a .co.za domain name that I reroute to my wordpress site. I plan to upgrade to WordPress premium, which includes a custom domain. Should I keep my old domain and just continue to link to the wordpress site?

    Hi @successagriculture,

    You certainly can keep the old domain, but what I would recommend is to point your domain to WordPress.com’s nameservers and to adjust your domain settings on your WordPress.com site to reflect correctly.
    ns1.wordpress.com.
    ns2.wordpress.com.
    ns3.wordpress.com.

    The method for doing this is different for each domain provider, but if you let me know what provider you used for your domain I’m sure I could would you through it.

    Otherwise, contacting the company that you purchased your domain from and asking them to change it for you should also be possible.
